"witchhhikers" - witches plus hitchhiking - possible good concept for something. male witch and woman driver of vehicle? have kind of a fantasy around this - me hitchhiking, being picked up by a "regular" woman.
msm in liquid form at rainbow grocery. want it. may even exchange sperm for it. any takers? want an account at rainbow, and one at fields books. will do something something for those, no money need be involved.
by renoir, the swing, 1876 - in ad in paper for a de young birth of impressionism show. color image, free.
phil lesh 70th on march 12th at the bill graham. thought he was born in 1938. searching for the sound is a great memoir by him, available on audio through the s.f. public library. of the remaining dead, post-jerry, guess weir's my favorite.
two days before that, on the 10th, at the warfield, big hendrix tribute show, including billy cox, original jimi trio member.
march 13th, st. patrick's day parade.
closer to now - actually, last night, at the independent, bill kreutzmann, dead drummer.
john doe of x had his birthday yesterday - x had a doors phase for a while, i think - collaborated with ray manzarek - covered soul kitchen at least. don't know much about x otherwise - l.a. band. would probably like their music. another one to explore in the future.
read about a study that said those watching a funny movie ate 30% less popcorn than during some other kind of flick. into eating less these days, and moving more. succeeding in losing weight i put on the last part of last year. about two months into that - put it on in 4 months, so it'll take about that long to remove it.
read about omnivore, a bookstore at cesar chavez and church. interested, until i learned it was mainly food-oriented. so won't be making that excursion. but more power to them anyway.
like "soft offs" as a title for something - opposite of hard ons.
6th of next month, at the white walls gallery on larkin near geary, new show called temporal surfaces. opening party that night, i think. nice card for some other show there, featuring woman nude from the waist up.
iambic pentameter for that hitchhiking witch idea above: "...a witch, a he, is hiking by the road,/he seeks a her to pick up every code..." season of the witch, donovan song reference...that title also for upcoming nic cage flick.
tuned in the michael krazsny npr program yesterday morning briefly while in the kitchen - caller asked something about magicians, how they use their will, and are able to be effective within a universe of unchanging laws, something like that. i could see the worth of the question, but kraszny seemed to dismiss it entirely, mentioned something about houdini, and was on to the next caller. there was something there, but he didn't pick up on it at all.
an odd fellow brother, upon reading one of my blog postings, figured, i guess, that i should look at the craigslist sex/dating section, and have just done so. will study it. could be worth pursuing to some extent, give me something to do.
got out from the s.f. public a reading of i, claudius, by robert graves, about a roman emperor, in his voice, from two thousand years ago. something good to have on while going to sleep, waking up. great lines throughout. am also studying the white goddess, by graves. paid five bucks for it recently at adobe books on 16th in the mission.
looked through some of my stuff and found two flash drives that contain material i saved onto them a year or more ago, so that's a find. interesting to see what i was thinking of some time back.
won a super lotto ticket for this saturday's drawing last night at the odd fellows meeting, so that's a possible source of cash, but not one i can count on. got about six bucks and a few cents now - that'll get me into the city if i wanna go there today with two bucks to spare. odd fellow brother p. owes me ten for work, so maybe i can get that tomorrow, would need it for return fare back to where i'm living...
4am now...guess i'll take a bath...can always occupy myself one way or another. feeling like reaching for my sliquid and entertaining a sex fantasy...got plenty of notes of a non-sexual nature to consider also...
narrowing down that craigslist casual encounters search - added "men seeking women" - not seeking another dick in my life...like phrase used in one, "ongoing arrangement"...
person at the odd fellows meeting last night used that absolute power corrupts absolutely line, and i asked who said it, knowing it was lord acton. they didn't know.
chinese food served last night, had a choice of fork or chopsticks, and used the latter. made me think of lapd officer deckard in blade runner - scene of him eating something with those. sushi, i think. when the edward james olmos character comes up to him, getting him to bring to his superior officer - he needed deckard's "magic" to track down the replicants.
i make a lot of yerba mate tea - got a pound of the loose kind the other day at rainbow grocery, and put some into a tea ball. not supposed to use really boiling water. also, it's suggested that the tea be moistened with cold water before exposing it to the heated kind, so i do that religiously. at trader joe's bought some ginger tea bags to go with it - yogi brand, out of oregon. adds a good thing - several other herbs besides the ginger give it a zing.
unattended candle in the downstairs bathroom of the house i'm in now, yesterday - unattended and lit. so i blew it out. probably no real fire hazard, but i'd rather be safe than sorry in terms of burning candles.
for the meeting raffle last night, bought eight san francisco postcards for a dollar in an electronics store on market. plus the last "atomic fireball" candy i'd gotten, eight for a buck. was wanting those cards to go to eight separate people, but they all went to one. should have specified that - some last night went without getting anything, but that was no big deal. brother eugene won an american flag blanket, and i was wanting that.
nice time yesterday at the starbucks near the south san fran bart station with a friend, just chatting. he interviewed in oakland for clorox recently, so that could happen. great music on the sound system - that who wrote the book of love one from the fifties, and some al green. sade's soldier of love cd selling there also. (the book of love song by the monotones, says a source online. it's mentioned in don mclean's american pie, obliquely...)
article in the examiner about terry crews, his new bet - black entertainment television - program, reality-based, about life with his wife and five kids. good thing, want to watch that, if the basic cable in this house i'm in has it. remember him from one of the ice cube fridays flix, as an ex-convict trying to make it on the outside but not doing well. was also on everybody hates chris, as the father who'd get upset if the fridge door was left open due to that raising the electricity bill. (question: in terms of rapper ices, do you pick cube or -t? myself, must pick ice-t - c'mon, dude was in johnny mnemonic, and even better, wrote the foreword to iceberg slim's doom fox. don't get much better than that...he was also in this movie with rutger hauer and others portraying a homeless man who becomes the object of a hunt by rich folks out in the wilderness...had to look up the title: surviving the game.)
so there you go...about 4:30am...bus to stonestown in s.f. at 7am...sliquid awaits, a hot bath awaits...what shall my sexual fantasy be if i choose to go there...something will occur to me...not the easiest meeting any women i want to suck and fuck. and love, it needn't be said. let alone twelve for a coven. such, such is life.
